    Great vid clips loke to hike myself done a few frials in Scotland and Germany doing another this yrea but my dream is this trail The Appalachian. Going to do it one day with my friend from Alaska anyway all the best from Germany.

    MUD here GA>ME 2001. . . i stopped in that dairy queen minutes after lighting blew me off the ground coming up that hill just before then. . . . what a long strange trip it was. . peace

    For me, the very worst part of the AT are the people. They all get in your face and buisness. It will never occur to them you might be there to be ALONE. You will get no privacy on the AT.

    Yeah. I hope they find her.  My schedule is pushed back to the 17th now, hopefully by the time I get there she’ll be found alive and well. Yes I’ll be thruhiking. The first person started midnight New years. I wonder what happened to that poor girl.

    thru hiking?  wow, an early starter. enjoy your hike but if you’re NOBO, you might just have no choice but to jump ahead to neels gap, considering the massive missing person search going on at blood mountain right NOW (Jan 5, 2008). Keep Meredith Emerson and her family/friends in your thoughts and prayers.
