What are some of the great places i should not miss whilst backpacking around Europe?
March 7th, 2010 | by admin |I am currently in my last year at school and am planning on backpacking around as much of Europe as possible during 2010 with a mate.
I don’t want to miss out on seeing some great attractions so i am asking for your advice.
Thanks heaps!
P.S. I love thrills and partying… but i want to see the historical stuff as well!
Amsterdam is a must. Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest are about as beautiful as Europe gets (they are all stunning!). Check out Rome for a bit of history and then head to Barcelona for great culture, food and nightlife.

Make sure you check out Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. Probably the most beautiful town in Europe.

Second answer had great ideas. Try and make it to Berlin – it will be really worth your while. Other great cities – Copenhagen, Prague, Munich, Brussels, Barcelona, Valletta (on Malta) There are far too many to mention! Check out websites for youth.
Happy holidays!

Well In europe there is no shortage of history. On your way to a night club you will probably pass dozens of buildings over 200 years old without even knowing it. But what most backpackers dont know is that in Europe the big cities arent the most important. The countryside and small towns unknown to tourists is where you find all the culture and history.
