What should I pack for a girls camping trip?
April 27th, 2010 | by admin |My school is going on an “outdoor experience” camp, and I need some help. I am a slightly urban girl, with no experience about camping whatsoever. I need to know what to pack for a week long camping trip in the winter. I don’t need to pack sleeping pads or tents or anything becuase we’ll have bunk beds.

First off sine you are having bunk beds I am assuming you will need to bring bedding to fit a twin bed. As far as clothes go, I’m not sure where you live to know about weather, but I’m guessing slightly cold? You should bring enough jeans or pants for everyday you will be there with at least 1 extra pair in case of an emergency. If you are planning on them not getting that dirty and re-wearing them, then less will do. If you have access to a washing machine I would bring less for packing space sake. Also depending on the weather, the same goes for shirts either long or short sleeve. Although, I would not recommend wearing those more than once. You will also need a light jacket, and a heavier coat if it is going to be cold. Make sure to think about the weather at night because, most likely you will have some outdoor activities at night. Make sure to bring plenty of under garments because there is a big chance you may need to change more than once a day. This is especially true for socks make sure you have at least enough for everyday and 3 or 4 extra pairs. You will rather have to many then go with wet socks. You will need a good pair of tennis shoes that will be comfortable for any hiking you may do. Also, bring a pair of flip flops to wear in the shower. This is very important! You don’t want to get any foot infections. If you have long hair make sure to have plenty of hair ties. Bring a small bag full of all of your personal toiletries. If it is going to be cold you may want gloves, a hat, and a scarf.
I hope this was helpful!
