I remember using these back in the 90s when I was a poor student but they were the puncture type where a needle pierces the can. No piezo too. They work very well and depending where you are the refills are easy to get. Here in South east asia the blue refills are everywhere, I’ve seen them in Australia too and have heard they are pretty common in parts of europe. Not pretty but it gets the job done.

you should get one that takes self sealing gas canisters to make it more compact
