Where are some good campgrounds here in CALIFORNIA? Great tent camping no lodging, or r-ving STRICTLY TENTS.?

Me and some friends are looking for a great place to camp TENTS ONLY so we can have a great time i’ve tried but no luck so i would really appretciate anyones ideas. THANK YOU .

    Your best bet is to go with a primitive campsite, aka "open" site. As the name suggests, these sites are lacking in most modern camp conveniences, like pottable water and toilets. But they are a whole lot of fun; you don’t have to worry about noise, etc. Below are a few that are in California:

    There are many more out there! Go to the following site and browse thru the campgrounds. Look for ones that don’t list how big you camper can be! Good Luck!

    Emerald Bay State Park in Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place that’s tent camping right on the lake. There’s lots of things to do in the area as well. Here’s a link for info: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=506
