I too have Meniers … I too have Meniers disease, though its not terrible, but I didnt have any problems with this hammock. I pulled the elastic cords very tight before staking down, this prevent any movement when adjusting in the hammock or from weather.
To address a few … To address a few other concerns, Yes if you do not tie your lashing taught and tight it will sag over night. There is a video on the site that shows how to tie the lashings. Also I used a coleman pad in the bottom of my hammock and a coleman sleeping bag to prevent getting cold. With layered clothing (hooded sweatshirt) I stayed comfortable in mid 20’s weather. The next morning when I got up everything was iced over and I was suprisingly still warm.
MunkeySpaz, the … MunkeySpaz, the velcro has lasted me for awhile with no sign of any problems. Once you have brought your legs up through the entrance the fly comes together and the velcro is together. You can easily reinforce the grip of the velcro by pushing it together with your hands. The velcro fly is a good seal and the mesh on the top is so fine that a bug would have to be extremely small to get in. Overall its much more bug proof than any tent I have used.
Im curious to know … Im curious to know how well that velcro on the bottom has lasted? Also, how well does it close up once your in it? Does it prevent bugs and insects from getitng in there?
how do you climb in … how do you climb in it after you put it up AND how do both of you climb in it after you put it up- I’m wondering, to see if I can do this, thanks
Yes rainfly works, … Yes rainfly works, a “deluxe” hex rainfly is available. You have to get inventive to keep warm on cold nights though. I’ve heard of people using different techniques to insulate against cold air.
I want to set one … I want to set one of these way up in the tree so you actually have to climb the tree to sleep in it. It would feel cool to be up with the birds not the bears.
