Going hiking/backpacking with my dog, safe to drink iodine water?
February 18th, 2010 | by admin |I don’t use the fancy filters and purifyers, only iodine and a UV light I have. I was wondering if it would be safe for my dog to drink the water I purified with the iodine. Thanks in advance!
If it’s safe for you, I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be safe for your dog. For that matter, I wouldn’t hesitate to have your dog drink briskly running water – for the most part, a dog’s digestive system is quite hardy and quick and not many parasites would live long enough to take hold.
The only things that aren’t good for dogs that are fine for humans are generally a few kinds of foods, like onions, tomato plants, chocolate, coffee, beer, etc.
