While not in my comfy hammock, I decided to try out my new solo tent. Then I realized I had much more new gear that I have yet to use, so I made it an effort to only bring along equipment that I had never used before. It ended up fine, but boy have I gotten used to good gear and systems that work. A very good learning experienc. Just some NEW gear: Chinook 45 daypack (not recommended) Buck Hoodlum (good, but $) Prospector Solo Trekker Tent (good) MSR Pocket Rocket (good) Peculator Pot (good) lightload towel (good) Smartwool tech socks (good) mora clipper (I&#8217;d go bigger or smaller) synthetic fake wool blanket $4 walmart (ok) cheap hand chainsaw (stay clear of) energizer headlamp $13 one (good) go towels (unsure) minimal FAK (good if your ok with limitations) OFF deet wipes (good but have 2 per day min.) walmart oatmeal packs (good) various cheap navigation/kit/and small items (they all worked out) If you saw something and had a question on, PM me or leave a comment!</p>
